Have a bit of a backlog of news, so I will post a bunch:

I finished Culture Jam last week, finally. A bit rambling, and some of the options are a bit out of my reach, but still a great read.

I bought a cheapy tent at costco last weekend. It seems to be based off the model of a more expensive tent. The main reason I bought it is that it has great ventilation and a sky light, thanks to a clear plastic part of the fly. We will see what happens to it in the heat of burning man. Yes, I already have my burning man ticket and plan to go again. This time I will be a bit more prepared and hope to contribute more.

Watched bowling for columbine this weekend and liked it a lot. I think Mike did some creative editing on certain timeline bits with regards to the NRA stuff (some clips were taken from different times), but it was still good stuff. I was talking to Jimmy about the whole fear/door thing. I remember being puzzled after seeing people lock their doors when they were in their house during the day. Marilyn Mansion – not a big fan, but he nailed it – ‘Fear and Consumption’.

After screwing up my el foil (I think) I started work on my coffee table, with much better results so far. I’ve gotta say, going to home depot really isn’t fun, but working with your hands is a nice change. I am interested to see how this turns out. I haven’t done anything like this since Jr High.

Rumsfeld with his friend saddam in the 80′s:

I heart The Onion. Sad that this is funny.
