Haha yes, through sheer laziness I'm one of the few self host hold outs. If I do it long enough it might come back in fashion. :D

One of my favorite places on earth. On a random note, I like that you still host your photos in your own gallery. :)

Thanks, Chris. Hadn't taken the time to look in detail at the micro SLR's. I got the DX-1G in June 2008, along with a single YS-110 strobe. The underwater photos have been hit and miss but I think experimenting more with settings is the key to consistency. I think I'll continue using the DX-1G for a while, but given the specs of the micro SLR's, they'd definitely be the way to go when I'm in the market for something different. Thanks again for your response.

Hi Larry,

Yes, I'm still using the Sea & Sea DX-1G, but it is definitely getting long in the tooth compared to the current crop of cameras. If I was going to buy anything now I would go the micro SLR route - the Olympus PEN E-PL1 and PT-EP01 Underwater Housing look like a pretty great combo for the price.

Thanks,

Chris

Hello Chris. Thanks for taking the time to create your write-up. Now that it's almost 2011, are you still using this camera?
