Sunday afternoons are quite enjoyable with public radio. First up is This American Life, then The Next Big Thing, then Sounds Eclectic. An easy way to get your weekly recommended intake of stories, cultural examination, art, and great music.
Watched Saved! on Friday night. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I suspect my enjoyment of the movie had to do a lot with my past; I went to a christian high school. It was as if they took every ounce of absurdity, hypocrisy, and bureaucracy from that experience and turned it into a movie.
Managed to make it out to the Hillcrest Farmers Market. Everytime I go, I think, “why the hell are you not here every Sunday?” Great produce, good prices, nice interaction. I bought some dark roast mate, the sample was quite good. They even had bombias! I’m a tea ball kind of guy, so I passed on it. It is interesting to see mate become so common.
